Direct Billing

Depending on your condition and how you sustained an injury, there may be coverage for your care. In fact, many British Columbians are eligible for treatment with little to no co-pay required. We are pleased to work with many different benefits providers to expand access to care and improve the patient experience when they have a need to obtain coverage.

ICBC – Have you been involved in a motor vehicle accident?

Motor vehicle accidents are one of the most common causes of musculoskeletal injuries. We have the skills to assess and treat these types of injuries, and in most cases, ICBC customers pay little or no out of pocket expenses to receive care for their injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident.

Prior to your first visit, you will need the following:

  1. Your ICBC claim number
  2. Your date of motor vehicle accident/date of injury
  3. Your personal health number
  4. The name and contact information of your ICBC claims adjustor

Extended Health Coverage

Many British Columbians enjoy the benefits of extended healthcare coverage through their employer benefits policies, or through policies they have purchased privately. If you are interested in learning more about your private health coverage, speak with a human resources representative at work or contact your benefits provider for more information.

We bill directly to most extended healthcare plans.

Important information for patients regarding direct billing:

In order to be eligible for Direct Billing, patients must provide their Member ID and Policy under any of the above-mentioned plans. Unfortunately, we cannot search patients without their member and policy information. The direct billing portal doesn’t allow for it nor do they provide for any extensive plan information. It is imperative that patients have this information with them when they come to the clinic for initial set-up.

All patients are required to sign a consent form authorizing the clinic to direct bill, as well as authorizing the clinic to receive payment on behalf of the patient.

Insurance plans only allow direct billing to the primary plan. For example: Taylor has Canada Life and their spouse has Pacific Blue Cross. They are both on each others plans. We are only able to submit to Canada Life for Taylor, and they are able to submit the remaining uninsured amount to their spouse’s plan privately, if they choose to do so. NOTE: This is an insurer policy, not a clinic policy.

In our commitment to provide an outstanding experience to all of our patients, and out of consideration for our practitioners’ time, we have adopted a couple clinic policies. You can review these here.
